Monthly issued magazine Technika Transportu Szynowego is being published since 1994. The idea of being a forum for producers, constructors and users was connected to the idea of joining together in one magazine all types of rail traffic – urban and railway traffic. This formula has been evolving with time passing from a strictly technical issues to the present one – with a more widened scope of information from many fields.
Now articles are classified in the following sections: analysis, transport systems, technology, exploitation, law and finances, researches.
An experienced circle of publication authors, articles reviews and cooperation with foreign magazines allows delivering to readers a reliable information useful in their day-to-day work. Our readers are mainly all engineers and management in railway and urban transport companies. Magazine is also welcomed among producers and contractors for railway transport, researchers, design companies, research institutions. We also have a significant group of readers among students and pupils. There are more and more readers among local and national government institutions responsible for public transport organization.
In this magazine have been published already over 2600 articles. Among our authors we have over 300 experts in railway transport. Thanks to a cooperation with foreign magazines and research institutions in our magazine are published also interesting foreign authors articles. Also our magazine articles are translated and published in foreign magazines.
Our magazine is on a list of pointed magazines, announced by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. Since 17 September 2012 we grant articles in our magazine with 6 points. In an announcement from 17 September 2012 the number of points, like in other magazines was reduced to 4.
Magazine is since its beginnings a media partner of the biggest fairs in Poland – International Railway Fairs TRAKO in Gdańsk. We also cooperate in conferences and seminars organization. Since 2003 the magazine has straightened a cooperation with the Association of Communication Engineers which is a patron of the magazine.
